Bridgestone best ever result in Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. Bridgestone supported riders captured impressive 3rd, 7th, and 10th in the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance race held on August 3rd. Shinichi Itoh and Takeshi Tsujimura duo captured the third place aboard FCC TSR Honda CBR954RR despite the fuel problem in the early stage of the race. O. Deguchi / Haruchika Aoki of team Weider Honda ATS DD Boys captured 7th overall, recovering from the rear brake problem in the hour four. T.Yamaguchi/Y.Takahashi (TEAM-MASKED RIDER555 HONDA) finished 10th despite the involvement in the early oil crash in the lap two. Itoh made the impressive ride at the special qualifying stage on Saturday bringing the first time ever pole for Bridgestone with the time 2.07.552. In the race, Itoh/Tsujimura, the former grand prix stars, made the constant race and marked 210 laps to bring the best ever finish by Bridgestone. The race overall was won by Nukumi/Kamata (Team Sakurai Honda 71) on non-factory Honda VTR1000SPW, followed by S.Nakatomi/ W.Yoshikawa on Yamaha YZF-R1 in the second place. |
