Bridgestone Riders Take First Place In Ama Supercross 250cc And 125cc
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 7, 2004) -- At the Silverdome in Pontiac, Mich., Bridgestone riders took first place in the 250cc and the 125cc. In the THQ AMA Supercross Series Race, Chad Reed (Yamaha) rode into first place, making this his ninth win of the season. Reed continues to dominate the race for the championship, racking up 311 points to date, a lead of 37 points over his closest contender.

Also riding on Bridgestone tires, Mike LaRocco (Factory Connection / Honda) finished in second place and David Vuillemin (Yamaha) took third place. LaRocco now stands in third place in the season standings with 252 points, and Vuillemin is in fourth place with 240 points. Kevin Windham, who finished in fourth place at Pontiac, holds second place in the standings with 274 points, giving Bridgestone-equipped riders the top four positions so far this season.

In the final race of the 125cc Eastern Region Supercross Series Race, James "Bubba" Stewart (Kawasaki) finished in first place aboard Bridgestone tires. Stewart has already wrapped up the 125cc East Champion, and this win brought his points total to150 to date.
