Bridgestone-shod Chad Reed wins
Supercross Championship
Reed finished the 17-race series with 365 points, 13 points ahead of his nearest rival. The championship was not decided until the final round. For Bridgestone, this is the fifth consecutive Supercross championship in the main class. Reed won the 2004 championship, also on board a Bridgestone-shod Yamaha. "We are enthusiastic about our five consecutive championship titles, which were won by three different riders on three different brands of machines." said Bob Graham, Senior Manager of Motorcycle Products, BFNT. "We are especially pleased to partner Chad Reed and his team. Reed rode strong on his Bridgestone tires all year, taking nine victories in the 17 race series. This championship carries on the Bridgestone brand's long history of racing involvement, where we utilize results from the race track for the testing and design of our performance tire products."
